Hasegawa Haruna (長谷川晴奈?), nicknamed Haseharu (はせはる?) and is affectionately called Hasegawachan (はせがわちゃん?) by Maeda Atsuko, is part of AKB48's Research Students (Team Kenkyuusei). She is one of the primary characters in AKB48 Murder Mystery series. She was based on Hasegawa Haruna.

Chapter 1[]
All 89 members of AKB48 went to a duplex island owned by one of Akimoto Yasushi's friends for a CM Shoot. After their first day shoot was over, they went to their designated resthouse on the other island. It was assumed that she heard that Kato Rena was missing and was shocked to learn that the scream they heard was from Sashiko finding the girl's lifeless body in the dining hall.
Chapter 3[]
While Mariko's team checks them for Alibis and Yuko's team looks for motives, Detective Maeda processes the scene. Afterwards, the group were called in for a last Handshake Event with Maeda Atsuko. When Hasegawachan's turn came, Acchan gave her a candy to calm her. After the event, Hasegawachan, along with Ota Aika, Umeda Ayaka, Nito Moeno, Nonaka Misato, Uchida Mayumi, and Saeed-Yokota Erena were declared above suspicion because all of them were left-handed.
